Communicating with Children

Join us for an upcoming training for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers in Cuyahoga County on June 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This informative session, conducted over Zoom, will be a valuable opportunity for CASA volunteers to enhance their skills in communicating with children and managing challenging conversations with various case parties.

Our guest presenter, Deborah London, a dedicated CASA volunteer, will lead the discussion on effective communication techniques tailored to children of different ages. Deborah's insights and practical tips will help you build stronger connections with the children you advocate for, ensuring their voices and needs are heard.

In addition to communication strategies with children, we will delve into the art of handling difficult conversations with the various parties involved in a CASA case. Whether it's addressing concerns with parents, caregivers, or other professionals, this training will equip you with the tools to navigate these discussions with confidence and empathy.

This training event will provide 1.5 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit, making it a valuable investment in your role as a CASA volunteer. To participate, please register before the event to receive the Zoom link, which will be sent to registered attendees.
