Description

Our 30-hour pre-service training will equip you with the solid base of knowledge you need to powerfully and compassionately advocate for a child that has been abused or neglected. In addition to gaining an understanding of the child protection system and the CASA volunteer role, you will also learn about trauma and resilience, efforts at improving our systems, cultural competence, and much more. Prior to registering to complete the New CASA Pre-Service Training, you must complete and submit a CASA Application, completed a thorough interview, pass background and screening, and submitted the pre-work materials. If you have any questions about the CASA Program or becoming a CASA volunteer, please email Hannah Wiltshire, CASA Program Director, hwiltshire@cfadvocates.org.

If you are registering for the New Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Training, please make sure you have successfully received your Ohio Attorney Registration Number. This training has been submitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio on Continuing Legal Education for 15.0 hours of instruction, including 4.5 hours of attorney conduct.
